Tentative Compromise, Wall, Mixed Signal

Wall in Belfast, Northern Ireland

This wall is on a block in Belfast separating Protestant from Catholic parts of town. They are indictive of the “Troubles” in Northern Ireland. The wall is diplomatic in that the messages and graffiti on it are hopeful messages of peace and understanding between the Irish Nationals (Catholic) and Northern Ireland UK supporters (Protestant). The wall negotiates space between the two parties.
