Veracruz by Javier Sanchez in the Condesa district of Mexico City provides a public thoroughfare in the midst of a private development. Intended to serve as an open "park" space for people from the street to occupy and cut through, it quickly became privatized upon a few months of operation. Compromise turned exclusion.
