Reclamation | Boundary | Temporary
Park(ing) Day is an international event where around 20 countries use the assigned day to take over public parking spaces and turn them into areas of collaboration, celebration, community, relaxation, ect. It's interesting how this act demonstrates on a greater level the ability for people to reclaim a space and mark it as occupied or utilize it for something else than what it was originally intended for. What was most intriguing was how they even gave the ad-hoc parks a sense of officialism with the green signs they made to replicate already recognizable signs that are associated with city levels of authority.
